Talk on waste water screening at WWEM
14 November 2018
SepSolve’s specialists will be highlighting the latest technologies for on-line waste water screening at the Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) conference, which is being held at the Telford International Centre from 21–22 November 2018.
The talk will be delivered by SepSolve’s applications expert, Dr Laura McGregor, and will take place at 12:05 on Thursday 22 November.
The talk, titled “On-line monitoring of VOCs from waste effluent by GC–FID and GC–TOF MS”, will describe the use of a flow-through cell in conjunction with robotic tool change for sampling, standard addition and headspace analysis on a fully-automated platform. The use of FID enables remote, continuous monitoring for rapid response to contamination events, while TOF MS provides confirmatory analysis and identification of unknowns or compounds of emerging concern.
This year, WWEM is running side-by-side with the Air Quality Emissions (AQE) conference, at which SepSolve’s sister company, Markes International, will also be present. Displayed on their booth will be Centri, Markes’ new platform for fully automated sampling and preconcentration. Please visit Markes’ site for more information.
