Improving confidence in the quantitative analysis of cannabis terpenes using flow-modulated GCxGC–FID
This study demonstrates the use of flow-modulated GCxGC–FID to streamline profiling of cannabis terpenes and terpenoids. A key feature is the enhanced separation provided by GCxGC, which improves confidence in compound identity and data quality.
The terpene content of the four cannabis oils was analysed (above), and the enhanced separation of GCxGC was found to resolve co-elutions that would have occurred in conventional 1D GC analyses, avoiding the associated over-estimation of analyte concentrations.
