This study shows that GCxGC with time-of-flight mass spectrometry provides a high-performance solution for screening complex coffee-bean extracts for key aroma compounds.

Features illustrated are the ability of GCxGC to separate components that would co-elute in conventional one-dimensional GC–MS analyses, and the excellent NIST spectral matches generated by the BenchTOF mass spectrometer enabling rapid, comprehensive screening.
